This concept by VG enchants with its creative solutions, in particular with the Ve_Nier collection and Rudy, the most recent and innovative design presented at Maison&Objet 2022.
Design with a sparkling soul: Rudy and the Ve_Nier Lamps
MUN by VG's soul is strongly linked to everyday life and aims to become an element of accessible Italian luxury. The collections are individually created by local craftsmen and strive for excellence, imagining all the possible declinations of glass in domestic life.
The magic of light is a feature that MUN by VG wishes to channel into the Ve_Nier collection, playing with an extraordinary raw material and its balanced union with elements of ancient tradition, such as wood and metal, and with technology.
From this interweaving of materials and intentions comes Rudy, a portable light cap that recasts MUN by VG objects and puts them in another light - literally.
This design consists of a main structure in Canaletto Nut wood, shaped to fit practically onto lamps and bottles just like a stopper. Within itself, Rudy accommodates LED and touch technology: thanks to a steel disc on the upper surface, the LED spot on the lower part can be switched on with a single touch, ready to be reflected inside MUN by VG glass shapes. The light is rechargeable through a discreet micro-USB port, a smart and sustainable feature, like the entire concept.
The transparency and prestige typical of MUN by VG are thus highlighted in a new light, which adds to the more traditional methods without detracting from either the design or the final effect.
Indeed, the Ve_Nier Collection's lamps are designed to create a dreamy atmosphere, full of intimacy and warmth.
The Bougie, Lamp and Lume styles represent the three cornerstones of the range, which reworks the finishes already featured in MUN by VG's Glass collection, each with different and evocative lighting effects.
The Bougie and Lume table versions, in particular, are well adapted to fit Rudy's addition, which can be also combined with elements such as bottles, vases or glasses.
The atmosphere created by the Muranese glass makes room for the true leading character, which is light, in the clear transparency of the Pura workmanship, or directed by the Plissé finish and the baroque sinuosity of the Torsé surface.
